The Gift of Coaching

I learned on Friday that my organization is going to allow me to use the external tuition program to attain my Co-Active Coaching certification (CPCC) through the Coach's Training Institute. I am so grateful for having a supervisor who advocates and supports me, and who I am honored to work for and be led by. I am so excited I can barely stand myself. I was planning to start my PhD this year and am grateful for this coaching diversion.

As a Leadership Coach, I spend the majority of time coaching clients one to one, in groups, and through workshops.  Being able to enhance and improve my skills in coaching is a gift. A gift that I will be able to turn right back around and give to anyone I interact with.  Co-Active Coaching is really a way of life. I was chatting with one of my new clients about this concept earlier this week.  He is a Taoist and told me he got the "way of being" concept.  The metaphor is so strong. No matter your faith, you don't wake up each day saying I think I'll be a [insert your faith here!] from 10-2pm and then from 8pm on. Well, I hope you don't.  Having been trained in Co-Active Coaching and Leadership changed my life, and I am grateful every day for the impact of learning and integrating a different way of being.

I am hopeful to start my 26 week program in September, and while life will get busier than the usual busy, I am grateful for the opportunity and growth heading my way.
