Choices. What are You Choosing For?

"We all make choices. In every moment of every day; we make choices. For a lot of people those choices are happening unconsciously, without intention. And as often, those choices aren’t aligned with what matters most to people. The consequences are hard. Emotional discord or pain. Physical discord or pain. Disconnection from the people we love most.

Fundamentally as a coach, I partner with people empowering them to raise awareness and choose consciously based on what matters most to them. To live a mindful and aligned life. We explore core values and raise awareness to what you’re choosing for. In every moment you should be able to answer this question:

What am I choosing for?

Many of our choices are small and routine, and can make a huge difference. On a recent trip to the grocery store, I made choices in service of my love of adventure. Instead of going in and mindlessly shopping, I brought in coupons and intentionally bought things on sale. The result? All of the items above in the header photo for $6.18 including: 4 apples, 4 yogurts, 1 deodorant, 1 toothpaste. I saved over $14 which then goes into my travel budget.

You might say, “That’s men’s deodorant, why would you buy that?” And, I answer, “Because I care more about going on adventures with my family than I do about what type of deodorant keeps my arm pits in line!” You may think differently, and that’s fine. What matters is that you know what you care about. That you understand from moment to moment what you’re choosing for. That you are conscious and intentional about your choices. And, that you understand the impacts of being aligned or misaligned. Your choices matter.

So? What are you choosing for?"
